A) World’s first electrified tunnel in India

The world’s first electrified tunnel of 1KM length is being constructed on western dedicated freight corridor of DFCCIL near Sohna in Haryana.

The tunnel connects Mewat and Gurugram districts of Haryana.  

B) Indian to send 10 Board Gauge Railway locomotives to Bangladesh

India has good relations with Bangladesh and as a friendly gesture sent 10 broad gauge diesel Locomotives.

These locomotives were handed over as per the commitment given to Smt Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh during her last visit in October.

C) 44 Vande Bharat express Trains will be manufactured in the next 3 years

Indian Railways in its commitment will manufacture 44 Vande Bharat Express trains in the next 3 years period. The trains will be simultaneously manufactured in three rail units — the Railway Coach Factory, Kapurthala, Modern Coach Factory, Rae Bareilly and the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.

D) 7 new routes will get Bullet Trains

Indian will now have seven new routes in its Bullet Train network. The seven new routes are as under:-

  1. Delhi to Varanasi via Noida, Agra and Lucknow
  2.  Varanasi to Howrah via Patna
  3.  Delhi to Ahmedabad via Jaipur and Udaipur
  4. Delhi to Amritsar via Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Jalandhar
  5. Mumbai to Nagpur via Nasik
  6. Mumbai to Hyderabad via Pune
  7. Chennai to Mysore via Bangalore.
